Feng Shui Tips for Your Home Entrance
The entrance to the home marks the separation between our very own dwelling-place and the outside. We all want our homes to be cozy and restful, and we all certainly wish no harm to befall the occupants at any time.
Here are Feng Shui tips on how to take precaution and cure your home entrance from bad energy and protect from negative structures outside your home. Malevolent energy forces and Bad Qi are, and always will be around us both from outside and inside the home, but we can keep them at bay. We’ll show you how.
** Pay attention to your gate and fence specifics. A solid-built gate will ensure your home’s security. The best gate design for a home is regular rectangular-shaped or arch-shaped to symbolize the uplift of life and stability. Your gate should not have any decorative holes because this symbolizes ‘life entrapment’; meaning, bad luck.
** A point to consider for your fence is the types with pointed arrows. These are good for keeping the burglars and Good Qi at bay. But do beware, because the points act as poison arrows if directed towards your home and depletes growth to ensure an inevitable downfall for you and loved ones. Steer clear from these types.
** Keep your hedges on the same height The hedge or wall leading at the driveway leading to your home should not be tapered. A depletion of finances is bound to occur with walls along the driveway that tapers towards your home. Keep it on the same height for the whole length.
** Camouflage your plumbing. Conceal any visible running drainage pipes if you had them installed at the front of your home. These pipes may ‘drain away’ wealth luck and prosperity as well so dial the plumber or use your gardening skills to disguise the pipes under a bush of roses.
** Install a decorative house number. A decorative house number or nameplate to your main door should be designed in an upward swing from left to right. Place the house number or nameplate at eye-level. This way, your home’s attraction to prosperity will be heightened.
** Your front steps should ascend to the door, not go downwards. Incorporate ascending steps towards the entrance door. If for your doorsteps follow downwards instead, hang a wind chime between the door and stairs to slow down the descending Qi from your home.
** Look at the immediate area after you enter your home. The entrance area should spacious and wall-free because this is not conducive to good Qi flow. If you do have an obstructing wall view right after your enter your home, place a Pi Yao or two at the entrance facing outwards as a protective Feng Shui measure.
** No toilets around the main entrance or directly above it. A toilet adjacent to the main door spells bad luck, for Good Qi will enter and mingle with the commode’s negative energy. To prevent this from happening to a home with such arrangement, screen off the toilet with a heavy wooden partition. You can also ‘camouflage’ the toilet by placing some potted plants at the front of the door. As the Feng Shui diction goes, out of sight is out of mind.
** A toilet located above the main door is as inauspicious as it gets, for one who walks in your home will be struck with the negative vibes emanating from above. What if the damage is done and there is a toilet right above? Call the constructor and have either the main door the offending toilet relocated to a less malevolent place. If breaking down your home’s architecture is not feasible, installing a crystal item by the main door is your next best option to prevent negative energy from coming forth.

As wacky as this may sound, it really works. If you are nervous about a meeting with your boss or perspective client or you need extra protection around a person, you can protect yourself with the orange peel cure.
In the morning, peel a fresh orange and put nine pieces of the peel in your pocket. Carry around the peels until the situation is complete. Nine is a very auspicious number in Feng Shui and it means culmination and completion. Visualize being protected throughout your situation. Each time you notice the peels in your pocket, repeat the visualization.

Disengaging from Negative Energy

We’re constantly bombarded with negative energy from people and places around us. If we’re not careful, we can take that energy in and make it our own. Additionally, the negative energy can hook itself into a vulnerable spot in your psyche – say, that spot in your heart that feels unlovable – and by pushing your buttons, suck you into a negative downward spiral.
The more we work on ourselves and heal our psychic wounds, the less likely we are to be affected by surrounding negative energy. Until we’re strong and healed, we need to be very aware and careful of the energies surrounding us.
Negative Places
People and places carry their own energies that can adversely affect us. A place can hold the energies of fights, depression, and even murders and suicides. (This is why people often sage a home when they move in. Burning sage clears away the bad residual energy.)
A negative place holds the combined psychic energy of the people who inhabit it. The leadership who runs the place (if there is a leader) will often set the tone, creating a space that is either warm and nurturing or energetically draining.
For example, churches and other places of worship will often be filled with positive energy due to the prayers and intention of the audience. (Some churches, however, may have bad energy if the leadership is insincere. Yet if the congregation is sincere enough, their combined positive energy can overcome even the worst leaders.)
Yoga centers often have positive energy, especially if chanting is used. Golden Bridge Yoga in Hollywood has a palpable positive energy due to the persistent and continual chanting and Kundalini Yoga practices.
Negative spaces also have a palpable energy. Haunted locations, prisons, and soulless organizations can have bad energy. Sometimes these energies are very dark in nature. There is a vortex on the haunted ship the Queen Mary that is so negative, just standing near it can make you feel fearful and anxious.
Many healers will also cite bars and nightclubs as harbors for negative energy. The drinking and drug use will sometimes attract lower energies. So it’s a good idea to shield yourself when entering such environments.
Secret Feng Shui Tip: Your Front Door can Enhance Your Health & Wealth
Is your front door hidden? Does your home or office face away from the street?
If your entrance cannot easily be seen from the street, opportunities and income have a harder time getting to you. This can affect your wealth, helpful people, health and other life areas in a negative way.
Direct chí to your front door by placing lights or moving objects like flags, a water feature, or wind socks along the path. When making these changes, visualize that you are easily found and attract many positive prospects.
Additionally, make sure the numbers of your address can be read clearly from the street. Make sure the condition and appearance of the door are good and that everything works smoothly.
